The Tawakkalna Emergency app is the official application in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, designed to manage emergency cases and enhance community protection. Developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the app has been instrumental in curbing the spread of COVID-19 across the nation.
Initially launched to streamline relief efforts, Tawakkalna facilitated the electronic issuance of curfew passes during the "Curfew Period." This service was crucial for both government and private-sector employees, as well as individuals, significantly aiding in the containment of the virus by limiting unnecessary movement.
As the situation evolved into the "Return with Caution" phase, Tawakkalna introduced new features to support a safe return to normalcy. One of the most notable additions was the ability to display users' health status through a secure and private system of color-coded indicators, ensuring that everyone could make informed decisions about their interactions and movements.
