Hunting for resources in *Monster Hunter Wilds* can be a rewarding, albeit sometimes challenging, experience. Sharp Fangs, a crucial crafting material, are among the trickier items to acquire. This guide will walk you through finding and farming them efficiently.

Sharp Fangs appear early in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, primarily in the Windward Plains. These fangs are key ingredients for crafting early-game armor sets like Chatacabra and Talioth. To begin your hunt, consider undertaking optional quests such as "Beware the Chatacabra" or "The Desert is Demanding." These quests provide convenient access to the Windward Plains with a generous 50-minute time limit. Remember to prepare with a hearty meal before embarking on your expedition!
Once in the Windward Plains, head to Area 8, the largest area on the map. Here, you'll find various smaller monsters, both individually and in groups. While several monsters can drop Sharp Fangs, focusing on one specific creature significantly improves your yield.
Gaijos: Your Primary Target

Gaijos, small leviathan-like creatures resembling crocodiles, are found near or in riverbeds, usually solitary. Their locations are easily identified on the interactive map by scanning for purple diamonds near water sources. These creatures are relatively weak, making them easy targets even with starting weapons. Defeating a Gaijo guarantees a single Sharp Fang upon carving its carcass.

With four to five Gaijos typically spawning in the Windward Plains, you can efficiently farm Sharp Fangs by repeatedly completing optional quests to re-enter the area.
Talioth: An Alternative Source

Talioth, bipedal creatures found in packs in Area 8 (and sometimes Area 13), offer another, albeit less reliable, source of Sharp Fangs. While they are slightly tougher than Gaijos, they still pose little threat, even with early-game weapons. While they primarily drop Talioth Scales, there's a chance of obtaining Sharp Fangs as well. Hunting Talioths also conveniently progresses the "The Desert is Demanding" optional quest, requiring you to defeat eight of them.
