Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies mode, specifically the Directed Mode spawn delay. Following negative feedback, the January 9th update reverted the controversial alteration that increased the time between zombie spawns after five looped rounds. This change, initially implemented on January 3rd, significantly impacted kill farming and camo challenge completion.
The update also includes several improvements:
-
Directed Mode Bug Fixes: Numerous bugs in Citadelle des Morts' Directed Mode have been addressed, including issues with quest progression and guidance inaccuracies. Fixes for visual glitches and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud have also been implemented.
-
Shadow Rift Ammo Mod Buffs: The Shadow Rift Ammo Mod received substantial buffs, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment). Its cooldown timer has also been reduced by 25%.
-
Global Improvements: The update includes various fixes across the game, addressing issues with character skins (Maya's "Joyride"), UI elements in the Events tab, and in-game audio for event milestones.
-
Multiplayer Enhancements: The Multiplayer mode "Red Light, Green Light" now awards increased XP from match bonuses. Various stability fixes have also been added.
Looking Ahead:
Treyarch acknowledges that some fixes, such as a bug related to the Vermin double-attack, require more extensive testing and will be included in the Season 2 update on January 28th. This update will also incorporate further bug fixes and adjustments. The Dead Light, Green Light LTM has received adjustments, extending the round cap to 20 and adding Liberty Falls to the map selection.
