The tingklik is a traditional Balinese musical instrument
The tingklik is a traditional Balinese musical instrument crafted from bamboo blades and played by striking them with a mallet called a "tingklik pelvis." Gamelan ensembles featuring the tingklik typically include two types: the Tingklik Polos and the Tingklik Sangsih. A single basic tingklik instrument consists of eleven to twenty-five bamboo blades, with the exact number depending on the musical scale employed. Musicians play the tingklik using both hands: the right hand typically handles the kotekan (melody), while the left hand plays the rhythmic foundation. Sometimes, the right hand performs the sangsih part and the left hand the plain part.
