Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures
Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some departures. January is shaping up to be a strong month for subscribers.
New Games:
Microsoft officially announced seven new games joining the service, starting with Road 96 (available January 7th across all tiers). This title returns to Game Pass after a previous stint. The remaining six games launch later in the month:
- Lightyear Frontier (Preview) - January 8th (Standard subscription)
- My Time at Sandrock - January 8th (Standard subscription)
- Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders - January 8th (Standard subscription)
- Rolling Hills - January 8th (Standard subscription)
- UFC 5 - January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate only)
- Diablo - January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only)
The inclusion of Diablo and UFC 5 confirms earlier leaks, though access is limited to Ultimate and/or PC Game Pass tiers. Lightyear Frontier, currently in early access, is available to Standard subscribers.
New Perks:
Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks are available, including weapon charms for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.
Departing Games:
Six games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:
- Common'hood
- Escape Academy
- Exoprimal
- Figment
- Insurgency Sandstorm
- Those Who Remain
This is just the first half of January's updates; Microsoft will likely announce further additions for the latter half of the month soon.
