The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within is ongoing. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing fresh endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 includes new story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic story of Dalaran's destruction, though it wasn't immediately available upon patch launch.
Updated January 7, 2025, by Paul Woodward: The recent campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may not recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline and a fitting farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue
Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign begins immediately. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. For optimal understanding, complete prior storylines to avoid spoilers and gain context. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign includes these quests:

- Price of a Mission
- Standing in the Way
- No Breathing Room
- Together, Alone
- The Voice
- Ringing in the Deeps
- Good Help These Days
- Hey, What's Going On?
- Haywired and Hostile
- Built to Blast
- Bat Versus World
- Found Friends
After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. Her quest, while not part of the main campaign, offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.
Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Initially, this questline had a three-week delay. As of January 7th, this waiting period is removed. However, you must complete The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions).
If unsure about your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). If Khadgar is present (after January 7th), you can receive a quest from him. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests. The complete Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
