A Classic Persian Card Game Popular Across the Middle East
Pasur, also known as Chahar Barg (Persian: پاسور), is a traditional fishing-style card game originating from Persia. Widely enjoyed in Iran, its gameplay closely resembles the Italian card games Cassino and Scopa, and shares even greater similarities with the Egyptian game Bastra. The game is also referred to as Chahâr Barg (meaning "four cards"), Haft Khâj ("seven clubs"), or Haft Va Chahâr, Yâzdah—referencing the goal of collecting seven clubs in a four-card hand, where eleven is a key winning score.
