New Pokémon to Befriend in Pokémon Sleep: Sneasel and Weavile!
Pokémon Sleep players have a treat in store! As of December 3rd, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend. This guide details how to add these icy newcomers to your team.
Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile
Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, you might expect to find them in a snowy location. In Pokémon Sleep, however, Sneasel and Weavile appear as Dark-type Pokémon on two islands:
- Snowdrop Tundra: Their primary habitat.
- Greengrass Isle: Accessible to all players, regardless of game progress.
If your current research island isn't one of these, use an EZ Travel Ticket to change locations.
Sleep Types and Evolution
Both Sneasel and Weavile share the Dozing sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them requires setting your sleep type to Dozing. Sneasel is easier to find initially. Evolving it into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. Note that you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.
Are They Worth It?
Sneasel and Weavile are valuable additions to your team. As Dark-types, they collect Wiki Berries, particularly useful in Snowdrop Tundra. They also provide an "Extra Tasty" boost to your dishes. Their ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel or Weavile a strong asset.
| Speciality | Ingredients | Main Skill |
|---|---|---|
| Wiki Berries | Bean Sausage, Fancy Egg, Greengrass Soybeans | Tasty Chance S |
