Miyamoto Musashi takes center stage, his legendary swordsmanship on full display. The trailer also highlights his roguish and comedic personality, adding a layer of depth beyond his formidable skills.Capcom describes Onimusha: Way of the Sword as a dark fantasy action game featuring one of Japan's most celebrated historical figures. Musashi's in-game likeness is reportedly modeled after Toshiro Mifune, the iconic Japanese actor known for his portrayal of Musashi in numerous samurai films.
The game unfolds in a Kyoto overrun by Malic, an evil force summoning hellish creatures into Japan. This marks the first new Onimusha title in two decades. To build anticipation, Capcom also announced a remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, launching May 23, 2025.
