Capcom has recently rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, introducing crucial improvements and fixes to enhance your gaming experience. This update is designed to eliminate several progression blockers and resolve numerous bugs that have been affecting players. However, it's worth noting that the patch notes do not mention any performance enhancements.
Despite its record-breaking launch and selling a staggering 8 million copies within just three days, Monster Hunter Wilds is still receiving a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam. The primary source of dissatisfaction among players appears to be related to performance issues on PC. Nevertheless, the game's success is undeniable, as it has become Capcom's fastest-selling game of all time. On Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds boasts the fifth highest concurrent player count ever, peaking at an impressive 1,384,608 players, surpassing even Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. In comparison, Monster Hunter: World reached a peak of 334,684 players.
Looking ahead, players can anticipate a title update for Monster Hunter Wilds in early April. This update promises to introduce a new endgame area for gathering resources and offer more monster hunting adventures.

IGN's Monster Hunter Wilds review awarded the game an 8/10, praising its refinements and enjoyable combat while noting a lack of challenge. We stated, “Monster Hunter Wilds continues to smooth off the rougher corners of the series in smart ways, making for some extremely fun fights but also lacking any real challenge.”
