The game doesn't let you simply equip items; you must gather resources! This guide shows you how to effectively collect plants, animal products, and other materials.
The Golden Rule: Collect Everything!
Don't overlook anything! Every flower, plant, and feather could be essential. Procrastination can lead to lengthy searches later (trust me, I once spent half an hour searching for daisies!).
Animal Grooming:
Approach animals and use the grooming suit (accessed by pressing Tab and selecting the brush icon) to collect wool and feathers.
For docile animals (like village dogs), hold the right mouse button until a blue brush icon appears above them, then release.
Important Note: Not all animals are friendly! Some will flee. To prevent this, sneak up by holding the right mouse button until the blue icon appears.
While combat skills can temporarily stun animals, sneaking is a more efficient approach.
Bird Feathers:
Remember to collect feathers! Rare birds yield valuable resources. Use the sneaking method to avoid scaring them away.
Fishing for Resources:
Fishing is a valuable source of crafting materials. Locate fishing spots (fish swimming in circles) and equip the fisherman's outfit (via Tab). Cast your line (right mouse button).
When a fish bites, press 'S', then 'A' or 'D' to follow its movements, and finally, rapidly click the right mouse button to reel it in.
Beetle Hunting:
Use the net suit (Tab -> net icon) to catch beetles. The sneaking method (hold right mouse button until a yellow net icon appears) is key for successfully catching them, especially those carrying flower balls.
Locating Resources:
Press 'M' to open the map, click the book icon (bottom left), select your target resource ("Truck"), and the map will highlight locations where it can be found.
