If you're diving into *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you might notice your character taking a bit of a beating, especially if you're new to the series or tackling tougher difficulty settings. It's natural to start wondering how to heal up and keep the fight going strong. Fortunately, healing in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* is a breeze, mainly involving the use of a special consumable item. Plus, there's an auto-healing feature that can save you from constantly monitoring your health bar.
How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Just like in the previous entries of the Dynasty Warriors series, healing in Dynasty Warriors: Origins involves using meat buns. You can snag these by smashing pots scattered around enemy bases. Sometimes, defeating enemy officers on the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings will also reward you with a meat bun, but don't expect this on the tougher Hero and Ultimate Warrior settings, as officers won't drop them there.
To heal during battle, simply press Up on the D-Pad if you've got a meat bun in your inventory. If your inventory is full when you pick up a meat bun, it'll automatically be consumed—unless you're already at full health, in which case it'll stay on the ground. You start off able to carry three meat buns, but if that's not enough, you can boost your capacity with the Meat Bun Glutton skill.
For those who prefer not to micromanage their healing, you can toggle the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option in the Configuration menu. This feature will automatically use meat buns when your health dips below a set threshold. Even with auto-use enabled, you can still manually consume meat buns whenever you need to, making it a handy setting to have active no matter your play style.
