Recent ESRB ratings suggest a potential re-release on current-gen consoles. The ratings specifically list PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, omitting Switch and last-gen consoles, hinting at an exclusive current-gen digital release. The recent ESRB rating for Doom 64 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S further supports this speculation, as the physical Doom Slayers Collection originally included a Doom 64 download code. This follows a similar pattern to the previous delisting and re-release of Doom and Doom II as a combined package, Doom + Doom II.
