Game-Breaking Stunlock Glitch Uncovered by Players
Dune: Awakening Open Beta Concludes

During Dune: Awakening's open beta weekend, participants experienced the first 20-25 hours of gameplay alongside various other features. The Global LAN Party livestream on May 10 revealed an exploit that enables players to indefinitely stun their PvP opponents.
The stunlock exploit occurs when players repeatedly execute quick knife attacks against enemies with depleted stamina. The affected players become completely defenseless—unable to use abilities or escape—leaving them trapped in a continuous stagger state.
Notable streamers Tyler1 and Shroud demonstrated this issue during their live broadcasts, drawing significant attention to the problem.
Funcom Commits to Pre-Launch Fix

Funcom developers observed the stunlock exploit firsthand during the Global LAN Party stream and promptly addressed the issue. Dune: Awakening World Director Jeff Gagné and Lead Producer Ole Andreas Haley assured players that the bug will be resolved before the game's official launch.
Gagné stated, "We've got this covered. It's not a situation where we're surprised by it—we're already working on the solution." With the beta weekend complete, the development team has collected valuable feedback alongside positive reception, enabling them to optimize the game for its upcoming release.
Dune: Awakening is scheduled to launch on June 10, 2025 for PC, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions following at a later unspecified date. For the latest updates on the game, be sure to read our related coverage below.
