Eko Software and NACON have released a demo and detailed roadmap for their action RPG, Dragonkin: The Banished, currently in Steam Early Access. The demo, available until March 3rd, 2025, as part of Steam Next Fest, features the prologue and first chapter, playable with three distinct heroes: the Knight, Oracle, and Barbarian. Players will also experience the cooperative Vermplings, the Bloodline Grid skill system, endgame hunts, and initial hub city upgrades.
The developers have a robust roadmap for the coming year. Spring updates will focus on new abilities, enhanced endgame content, a new endgame activity, and hub city improvements. Summer will bring a new hero, more skills, and expanded endgame challenges. Autumn's update is a significant one, introducing multiplayer functionality alongside continued refinement of the Bloodline Grid and hub city.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, players fight against creatures spawned from ancient dragon blood, guiding a legendary warrior to defeat these monsters and the Dragonlords controlling them. Character progression relies on growth, equipment upgrades, and Vermpling evolution, all enhanced by the strategic Bloodline Grid for ability customization.
Dragonkin: The Banished enters Steam Early Access on March 6th, 2025, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
