Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique challenge: collecting five Golden Idols, which, despite being labeled "Quest Items," don't appear in your quest log. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't traded with NPCs to advance a questline; instead, they're valuable commodities.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present), the Vaal civilization at its zenith. Three Golden Idols are hidden within Utzaal, with two more located in the connected area, Aggorat. These idols aren't dropped by enemies; they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in secluded chambers.

Cashing In Your Finds
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He's the only vendor who will purchase these unique items. The prices are as follows:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a substantial 6000 Gold reward. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable sellable items, it's recommended to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
