Destiny Child, the popular mobile game, is making a triumphant return! Initially launched in 2016 and archived in September 2023, Com2uS has partnered with ShiftUp to revitalize this beloved title. This isn't just a re-release; it's a reimagining.
A Fresh Take on a Classic
Com2uS has commissioned ShiftUp to create an entirely new Destiny Child game, this time an idle RPG. Development will be spearheaded by Com2uS' subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio, known for their work on the tactical RPG, Arcana Tactics. While retaining the emotional core and stunning 2D art style of the original, the new game will boast a completely revamped gameplay experience.
Remembering the Past
The original Destiny Child captivated players with its charming characters and dynamic real-time battles. After nearly seven years, the game's servers were shut down. However, ShiftUp provided players with a "Memorial" version of the app, allowing a final nostalgic look back.
This Memorial version isn't fully functional; battles are unavailable. However, it presents a gallery of the game's beautiful character artwork, allowing players to revisit their cherished Childs. Access requires verification using previous account data, limiting access to those who played before the shutdown. It's a bittersweet farewell, preserving the Childs and their classes for those who played. Download it from the Google Play Store and enjoy the art while you wait for the new game's release.
