Valve's back from their New Year break, and the first Deadlock patch of 2025 is a surprisingly small one. While the bi-weekly update cycle has ended, this initial patch focuses solely on balancing adjustments.
Yamato receives a minor nerf, with reduced damage scaling and a lower attack speed bonus for Shadow Transformation's first level. Further adjustments weaken Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot, alongside a slight rework of Alchemical Fire.

A more substantial patch is anticipated, though the timing remains uncertain. Deadlock's player count, currently fluctuating between 7,000 and 19,000, has seen a decline, possibly due to the popularity of Marvel Rivals. Despite this, Valve hasn't yet revealed release plans or monetization details for the game still in its beta phase.
