When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This is when Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region, will make its grand entrance into Pokémon GO.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, to evolve it into Appletun, you'll need 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. For its final evolution into Dipplin, and then Hydrapple, follow the evolution path accordingly.
A key aspect of this event is the Apples, which are crucial for Applin's evolution. They'll appear in the wild, and tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Increase your chances of encountering Apples by using Mossy Lure Modules.

Applin lives its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to evade its natural enemies, bird Pokémon. This adorable Pokémon is certainly one of the cutest in the Pokémon GO lineup.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can also snag new avatar items from the shop, including the Applin Headband and Applin Apron. As for event bonuses, you'll enjoy double Candy for catching Pokémon, making it easier to evolve your new finds.
There's an increased chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Additionally, hatching 7 km Eggs during the event will boost your chances of getting Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet.
