Prepare for rage-inducing platforming as Jump King makes its explosive mobile debut. Nexile and UKIYO Publishing have unleashed this notoriously difficult 2D platformer globally on Android and iOS after a limited regional test earlier this year.
Falling With Style: Jump King's Mobile Journey
The free-to-play mobile version maintains the punishing jumping mechanics that made the 2019 PC and 2020 console releases either infamous or beloved, depending on your pain tolerance. Following a soft launch in the UK, Canada, Philippines and Denmark this March, the full mobile experience is now available worldwide.
What's the Jump King Mobile Experience Like?
You control a knight whose sole ability is jumping - but these aren't your average video game hops. Each leap requires precise timing and perfect execution, with the game's merciless physics sending you tumbling back down at the slightest mistake. Every jump auto-saves, meaning every failed attempt becomes a permanent addition to your suffering.
Your quest? Scale an impossibly tall tower to meet the mythical Smoking Hot Babe of Legend. But be warned - this damsel isn't in distress, she's the cause of yours. There are no checkpoints, no hand-holding - just you, your jumping skills, and the crushing reality of starting over from the bottom.
Survival of the Jumpiest
The mobile controls translate surprisingly well to touchscreens - hold to charge, release to leap. But simple controls don't equal easy gameplay. You'll need nerves of steel, unlimited patience, and maybe some anger management counseling after particularly nasty falls.
Tumble Down the Rabbit Hole
Jump King Mobile introduces a heart-based survival system. You begin with 300 hearts, losing one with each failed attempt. Running low? Try your luck on the daily fortune wheel for 10-150 extra hearts, or endure ads for up to 150 replenished hearts.
Complete the maddening base game? Two expansions await: New Babe+ offers fresh challenges on an alternative route, while Ghost of the Babe transports players to a creepy, desolate landscape beyond Philosopher's Forest for an eerie third act.
Download Jump King from the Google Play Store if you dare test your platforming endurance.
