The Road Guardians project has been updated with a new app featuring a streamlined and enhanced user experience.

Join the Road Guardians and help save lives!

Launched in 2016, the "Road Guardians – Our Shared Road" initiative aims to raise awareness and deter unsafe driving practices. As of January 1, 2023, the Safe Path association manages the project.

Anyone over 18 can download the Road Guardians app and begin documenting traffic violations.

Using the app is quick and simple. Activate the app before driving, and when you witness a violation, engage the reporting function. Reporting can be initiated via voice command or by pressing a Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will then begin recording video and audio details of the infraction.

These recordings are sent to a control center staffed by experienced volunteer traffic monitors. After review, a "letter on the way" is sent to the driver, including a link to the recorded violation. In cases involving life-threatening offenses, the report is forwarded to law enforcement.
