Tute is a highly favored card game in Spain and has also gained popularity in Latin America. It can be enjoyed by 2 to 5 players individually, or four players can team up in pairs.
The objective of the game is to be the first to achieve a predetermined number of points. The game utilizes a Spanish deck consisting of forty cards.
The hierarchy of cards, ranked from highest to lowest, is as follows: Ace (11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), followed by 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (white cards, which carry no value).
The game starts with the first card played setting the suit for the round. Players must then follow suit if possible. If a player cannot follow suit, they can play any card, including trumps. The trick is won by the highest trump card if any are played; otherwise, it goes to the highest card of the leading suit.
