Sony has unveiled an exciting new game titled "Mukti," developed by underDOGS Studio as part of the Sony India Hero Project. This first-person story exploration game is set within the intriguing confines of an Indian museum, offering players a deeply immersive experience centered around a crucial social issue—human trafficking.
According to underDOGS Studio, Mukti aims to shed light on the realities of human trafficking through compelling storytelling and engaging gameplay. Players will navigate the museum's labyrinthine corridors, uncovering hidden narratives and confronting the harsh truths faced by victims and survivors. The game is designed to foster empathy, encourage dialogue, and inspire action against this pressing global issue.
The game draws from meticulously researched historical contexts and authentic narratives to create a powerful experience. Mukti is set to be available on both PlayStation 5 and PC, with underDOGS Studio working closely with PlayStation to optimize the use of the PS5's DualSense controller. Features like haptics and adaptive triggers will be tuned to enhance the gameplay, especially during moments of quiet puzzle-solving.

In a recent PlayStation Blog post, Vaibhav Chavan, the founder and game director at underDOGS Studio, expressed pride in being part of the Sony India Hero Project. "Mukti is proud to be part of the prestigious Sony India Hero Project, being selected for this program not only gave us the fuel to bring our vision to life, but also reaffirmed our belief that Indian stories belong on the world stage," Chavan stated. He highlighted the invaluable support and insights gained from working closely with Sony over the past year.
Sony's Hero Project initiatives span globally, aiming to discover the next major hit developed externally for PlayStation. These initiatives offer studios comprehensive support in development, publishing, marketing, and promotion.
