Taiko-san Daijiro

This application enables you to enjoy playing TJA files from the popular PC software "Taiko Sanjiro 2" directly on your Android device. Please note that due to the wide variety of Android devices available, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every model. We apologize, but we do not offer support for devices on which the application fails to launch.

We kindly request that you refrain from asking questions about obtaining TJA files or skins. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

How to Add a Song

To add a song to the application, follow these steps:

1. Upon first launching the application, a "TJA" folder will be automatically created in the root directory of your device's storage or SD card.
2. Within the "TJA" folder, create a new folder to categorize your songs by genre, and place your TJA file inside this genre folder.
3. If a genre.ini file is not present in the genre folder, the genre will default to "Uncategorized".
4. Note that on Android 4.4 and later versions, you may encounter issues with saving high scores.
5. You can now select the storage location for your records in the settings menu.

How to Apply a Skin

To enhance your gaming experience with custom skins:

• The application supports skins from "Taiko Sanjiro 2", though some features might not be fully implemented.
• Skins from the original "Taiko-san Jiro" are not compatible.
• For skin customization, refer to the theme-default/default.csv file.
• Be aware that performance might be affected depending on your device's model and the complexity of the skin data.

Contents of genre.ini

For your genre folder to be recognized, it must include a genre.ini file with the following content:

• Due to enhanced Android security measures, access to folders outside the app-specific directories is no longer possible. If you have updated the application, please move the default "/TJA" folder to "Android/data/com.daijiro.taiko2/files/TJA" using a file management application.
