This app provides audio-visual Sunday School lessons based on materials from the AIC Sunday School Committee in Juba, South Sudan. Adapted and approved by the Africa Inland Church, Sudan, and Global Recordings Network Australia, these lessons are designed to accompany Global Recordings Network's picture books (available separately).
Originally created to assist young Sunday School teachers, the lessons utilize visuals as a key teaching tool. The app's features include:
- Comprehensive Curriculum: 226 Bible lessons across 9 books.
- Multimedia Integration: Built upon the "Good News" and "Look, Listen, and Live" audio-visual programs (available in the 5fish app).
- User-Friendly Navigation: Includes title search for easy lesson access.
- Teacher Support: Provides detailed teacher instructions for each lesson.
- Audio & Visual Aids: Offers English audio recordings and picture displays for each lesson.
- Offline Accessibility: Works offline (audio requires internet connection).
Each twenty-minute lesson focuses on a specific biblical theme. Supplementary activities like singing, prayer, Bible reading, and quizzes are left to the teacher's discretion. A concluding prayer and song are recommended. The lessons target a broad age range (7-12 years).
The concise lesson format (originally written weekly in notebooks) offers a framework teachers can expand upon during preparation. Each lesson emphasizes one or two key truths about God, building a gradual understanding over time. The app is intended as a guide, not a script, to encourage active teaching.
