RYFFC is an app where YOU are in Control! It offers a safe and comfortable space where individuals can freely share news without the fear of public prosecution. RYFFC aims to redefine the often negative perceptions surrounding news by democratizing its generation, consumption, and engagement, fostering a safe and engaging social experience. This represents a NEW WAY to NEWS.
RYFFC is designed to expose users to a wide range of thoughts, articles, and opinions. While there is no censorship on the app, we ensure it remains a non-triggering environment through robust anti-bullying systems and a comprehensive self-moderation system. This allows users to filter out posts they're not ready to see yet.
Ryff
A cornerstone of RYFFC is the Ryff. This feature allows users to create short "hot takes" on articles, limited to 88 characters. Ryffers engage with articles, pop culture, and news outside the traditional comment structure. If a Ryff catches your eye, you can interact with the Ryffer through a Ryff Back. At RYFFC, we promote thoughtful interaction—remember, you can only Ryff on another's Ryff once until they respond.
Self Moderation
RYFFC empowers users to self-select their preferred level of controversy or triggering material through three moderation levels: G, M, and BE.
- G stands for "General" audience moderation level, ideal for users who prefer to view only mild or non-controversial content.
- M stands for "Moderate" audience moderation level, suitable for those who are comfortable with mild to moderately controversial content.
- BE stands for "Bleeding Edge" audience moderation level, designed for users who want to access all available content, including highly controversial topics.
Voting
In conjunction with self-moderation, users can vote on the appropriate moderation level for articles, ensuring content aligns with their preferences.
Superboost
Superboost adds an exciting twist to the traditional "Like" feature. If you come across a post you truly appreciate, you can amplify its impact with a Superboost.
Like/Dislike
The classic like/dislike system gets a fresh take on RYFFC. Instead of clicking a thumb, swipe left or right on the article to express your preference.
