PHASE 10 RULES:

A phase is a combination of cards—sets (cards of the same value), runs (consecutive ascending cards), cards of one color, or a mix. There are ten phases to conquer.

The dealer shuffles and deals 10 face-down cards to each player, one at a time. Keep your cards hidden from opponents.

Completing phases

▪️ Complete phases sequentially, from Phase 1 to 10.

▪️ You must have all required cards for a phase before playing it.

▪️ You may play extra cards if they fit logically into the phase.

▪️ Only one phase can be completed per hand.

▪️ After completing a phase, aim for the next phase in the following hand. If you fail, repeat the same phase.

▪️ Phase credit is awarded immediately upon completion, even if you don’t win the hand. Multiple players may complete phases simultaneously.

Players aren’t forced to lay down a phase even if they have it—just remember to discard a card at the end of each turn.

Going out and Ending the Round:

After laying down your phase, play your remaining cards to finish the round.

Key rule: Always draw one card at the start of your turn and discard one at the end.

Scoring a Round:

The round ends when a player completes their phase and discards their last card.

Players tally the value of remaining cards (lower is better) as follows:

▪️ 5 points per card (values 1-9)

▪️ 10 points per card (values 10-12)

▪️ 15 points for a Skip card

▪️ 25 points for a Wild card

Your goal? Finish with the lowest score in the game.

Finishing the game:

If one player completes Phase 10 alone, they win instantly. For ties, the lowest scorer among qualifying players wins. If still tied, replay Phase 10—first to finish and discard all cards wins.
