The Jump Portal (Portal-gun) Mod brings the exhilarating world of the Portal series into Minecraft Pocket Edition, transforming your gameplay with innovative features inspired by the beloved first-person puzzle-platform games. This mod introduces several key elements that add depth and fun to your Minecraft adventures.
At the heart of the mod are the PortalGuns, which allow you to create two portals and teleport between them, opening up new pathways and strategies for exploration and navigation. The Portal Gun Wood & Stone, for instance, can be used up to 100 times, enabling you to warp across your world effortlessly.
The mod includes four distinct types of Portal Guns, each with its unique properties:
- Portal Gun (3651): Crafted with 4 iron ingots and 1 diamond, this gun shoots portals at a speed of 40 blocks per second and can be used 1000 times.
- Portal Gun Gold (3652): Similar in crafting to the standard Portal Gun, it shoots at 30 blocks per second and lasts for 500 uses.
- Portal Gun Iron (3653): Made from 8 iron ingots, it has a bullet speed of 20 blocks per second and 250 uses.
- Portal Gun Lava (3654): Crafted with 4 iron ingots and 1 flint & steel, it also has a speed of 20 blocks per second but with 200 uses.
Beyond teleportation, the GravityGun adds a layer of interaction with both blocks and mobs. With the Gravity Gun (3656), crafted from 4 redstones and 4 iron ingots, you can pick up and relocate objects or even launch them away, adding a playful yet strategic element to your gameplay.
The mod also introduces Turrets, which serve as automated guards. You can place them to protect your territory from intruders, including yourself. Manage their settings using the Turret Options (3657) item. Variants include the standard Turret (3658) and the Defective Turret (3666).
For vertical exploration, Jumper blocks launch you into the air upon stepping on them, perfect for reaching high places or escaping danger quickly.
Gel blocks add another layer of physics-based gameplay. The Repulsion Gel Block (230), a blue block, triggers a series of decreasing jumps when you step on it, while the Propulsion Gel Block (231), an orange block, enhances your movement speed.
For those interested in crafting and item management, the mod includes various items and their recipes, such as the Long Fall Boots (3660) for fall damage protection, and themed music discs like Still Alive (3662), Want You Gone (3663), and Cara Mia Addio (3664) playable in a Jukebox (84). Additionally, the Portal Radio (3661) and decorative items like the Cube (232) and Companion Cube (233) complete the Portal experience within Minecraft.
