How to Play Okey Game
The offline Okey game is traditionally played with four players. Each player uses a cue stick to sort their tiles, which come in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue, numbered from 1 to 13. The game includes two fake Okey tiles among a total of 106 tiles.
At the start, all tiles are shuffled and automatically distributed. The player next to the dealer receives 15 tiles, while the others get 14. Players then arrange their tiles into groups or pairs according to their cues.
Tiles not distributed are placed in the middle of the table, with one open numbered tile serving as the indicator stone. The tile matching the indicator stone's color and number becomes the Okey Stone, which can substitute for any tile in the game. Finishing the game with an Okey tile doubles the points earned.
Normal Tile Arrangement
Players aim to form at least three pairs of tiles. These pairs can be created in two ways: by arranging tiles of the same color in a sequence, or by grouping tiles of the same number across different colors.
Pair Formation
To end the game, a player must arrange all their tiles into pairs, achieving seven pairs and discarding the last tile to the middle of the table.
Indicator Rule
At the start of a new game, the next player reveals the indicator tile. If it's an Okey-colored tile, points are deducted accordingly; otherwise, two points are deducted.
End of Game
The game concludes with various scoring scenarios. A normal finish without an Okey tile results in a deduction of two points from other players, while an Okey-colored finish deducts four points. Completing the game with seven pairs deducts four points from opponents. If all tiles are the same color and in order from 1 to 13, it's a color finish, reducing opponents' points to zero. An irregular color finish deducts eight points from other players.
