A recent leak suggests a fun twist for Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.5 update: a temporary event featuring a multiplayer platformer game mode. This exciting addition, reminiscent of games like Fall Guys, is reportedly part of a "Grand Marcel" event.
Version 1.4, released in December, introduced new characters and permanent battle-focused modes. However, Zenless Zone Zero often includes temporary events with unique gameplay mechanics, such as the current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" tower defense event. This new leak points towards a similar, but significantly different, temporary experience.
Leaker Palito shared screenshots showcasing various platforming stages, strongly resembling the chaotic fun of Fall Guys. While the leak doesn't confirm if players will control their usual characters or Bangboo, the event is expected to offer attractive rewards, including Polychromes and potentially additional free character pulls (as previously rumored for Version 1.5).
This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events. Honkai Impact 3rd's 2022 "Midnight Chronicle" event featured similar gameplay. Players there used chibi versions of existing characters, suggesting a potential parallel for Zenless Zone Zero, though the popularity of Bangboo might influence the final decision.
