Xbox Game Pass introduces Quests and enhanced Rewards for PC users aged 18+, starting January 7th. This update expands reward opportunities beyond Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, making them accessible to PC Game Pass subscribers as well.
Key changes include daily, weekly, and monthly quest types designed to encourage exploration of the Game Pass catalog. These quests require a minimum of 15 minutes playtime per game and offer points redeemable for rewards. The return of weekly streaks allows point multipliers up to 4x for consistent weekly engagement. Specific quest types include:
- Daily Play: 10 points for 15 minutes of playtime.
- Weekly Streaks: Points increase with consecutive days played, reaching a 4x multiplier after four weeks.
- Monthly 4-Pack & 8-Pack: Points for playing four or eight different games (15 minutes each) monthly.
- PC Weekly Bonus: 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
Importantly, access to the Rewards Hub and all new quest features is restricted to users 18 and older. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate gaming experiences. Players under 18 can still earn rewards through parental purchases of eligible items from the Microsoft Store.
