Get ready for a stellar update with LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars, set to launch on April 16th. This patch promises a cosmic overhaul, transforming everything from menus to battlefields as you navigate the mesmerizing Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.
Three new champions are set to shake up the meta. Ryze, the Rune Mage, brings massive Area of Effect (AoE) damage and can teleport teammates across the map with his Realm Warp ability. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on chaos, using Paranoia to plunge foes into darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, masters time, slowing enemies and reviving allies with Chronoshift.
Alongside these additions, several champions are receiving significant reworks. Garen’s Courage will now scale over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment will shred enemy armor more effectively. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Minor tweaks are also coming for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a balanced gameplay experience.

Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will spice up non-Ranked modes, introducing Enchanted Gifts through portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from updated items, including the new Bandle Fantasy item that adds extra burst damage, Hextech GLP800 which slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance, enhancing ultimate abilities for more potent spellcasters.
Ranked mode is also getting a refresh. A new season will start with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, featuring updates to the Ranked store and an easier way to earn seasonal rewards. Mid-patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM, a revamped ARAM with new augments and galactic visuals.
The Wild Pass will introduce two captivating skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus, with Twisted Fate's look debuting an entirely new skinline. For more details, be sure to check out the official Wild Rift website.
