Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo delivers another exciting title, Warriors: Abyss, a fresh take on the musou genre launching today. This new roguelite features familiar faces from the Warriors series, offering a unique gameplay experience.
Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss lets you build a squad of iconic characters and battle through hordes of enemies. The isometric perspective, reminiscent of Diablo and Hades, adds a strategic layer to the fast-paced action.
Assemble your team and descend into the depths of "hell," confronting demonic foes. The trailer showcased a diverse roster including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang, promising a wide selection of playable heroes from across the Warriors universe.
According to the PlayStation Blog, you can recruit and expand your team, unlocking additional summoning abilities. Engage in battle with up to seven active heroes, choosing from a launch roster of 100 warriors.Koei Tecmo plans to expand the character roster with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors, and beyond. The developer hinted at future waves of characters, even teasing the possibility of heroes from outside the Warriors series joining the fray.
