Warner Bros. Games is shutting down its mobile title, Mortal Kombat: Onslaught, less than a year after its launch. The game was removed from the Google Play Store and App Store on July 22nd, 2024. In-app purchases will be disabled on August 23rd, 2024, with servers officially going offline October 21st, 2024.
The reasons for the shutdown remain undisclosed, although NetherRealm's recent closure of its mobile games division (which also handled Mortal Kombat Mobile and Injustice) suggests a larger strategic shift.
The status of in-game purchases and potential refunds remains unclear. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. have yet to comment on this, but promise further updates soon. Follow their official X (formerly Twitter) account for the latest information.

Unlike its fighting game predecessors, it blended action-adventure combat with a cinematic storyline, drawing comparisons to free-to-play mobile MOBAs. Players joined Raiden and a team of fighters to thwart the Elder God Shinnok's power grab.
