WoW's Extended Turbulent Timeways Event: Seven Weeks of Timewalking!
World of Warcraft's Turbulent Timeways event is back, and bigger than ever! Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this event offers players a non-stop Timewalking extravaganza. Expect a whirlwind tour through various WoW expansions, rewarding players with new items, a wealth of Timewarped Badges, and a significant experience boost.
This expanded event builds upon the popular five-week Turbulent Timeways event from September 2023. Players once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons.
This time around, however, the rewards are even more substantial. Completing the Mastery of Timeways buff for at least five out of the seven weeks unlocks the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, awarding the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount.
Turbulent Timeways Event Schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Each week features the standard Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids. Furthermore, all Timewalking vendors have permanent additions to their inventory, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. The Sandy Shalewing pet, previously available only during the initial Turbulent Timeways, also makes a return. Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest yields Heroic gear throughout the event.
With the recent conclusion of WoW's 20th-anniversary event (which itself included 11 weeks of Timewalking), players are in for a marathon of Timewalking activities, totaling 18 weeks!
The Turbulent Timeways' end date also hints at future WoW plans. The event concludes on February 24th. Considering Blizzard's typical eight-week patch cycle and the holiday season, this strongly suggests a February 25th release date for WoW Patch 11.1, "Undermined," ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With this event, the return of Plunderstorm (January 14th – February 17th), and an upcoming major content update for The War Within, World of Warcraft is poised for a thrilling start to 2025.
