Android users rejoice! Genshin Impact is finally getting controller support! The long-awaited feature arrives with Version 5.5, launching March 26th, 2025. This is great news, especially considering iOS users gained this functionality back in 2021.
When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?
Starting March 26th, 2025, you can ditch the touchscreen and explore Teyvat with a controller! Version 5.5 officially supports the DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 (all Bluetooth-enabled).
Beyond controller support, Version 5.5 brings several quality-of-life improvements. Cross-scene quest tracking lets you seamlessly track quests across areas, teleporting directly to your objective via the map. Boss guides receive an update to help newer players grasp enemy mechanics. The Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system also see optimizations; full details will be revealed during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
