Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
Morph Painting restoration involves matching paintings to their corresponding pedestals. Examine the pedestal descriptions, locate the matching portrait, and use the Levitator utility to place it correctly. The Levitator should equip automatically (press Tab/D-Pad Left if needed). Currently, two such puzzles exist, integrated into the "Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise" and "Trials of Old" quests.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
This puzzle, within the "Shadows of the Past" questline in Resounding Rise (Thorncrown - Thessaleo Falls), requires the following steps (using the central painting as a reference):
- Swap the front-left and back-right paintings.
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left pedestal.
- Move the painting behind the right chairs to the front-right pedestal.
Solving this puzzle unlocks a chest and allows quest progression.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
Located in the "Trial of Wisdom" (near Porto-Veno Castle, eastern Thessaleo Fells) within the "Trials of Old" quest, this puzzle demands arranging paintings narratively from left to right. The solution is depicted in the image above.
A simple way to verify correct placement is to check if the painting frame illuminates upon insertion. This shortcut bypasses the puzzle's core mechanic.
