Once upon a time, DC's Batman enjoyed a seemingly constant stream of new video games. The Dark Knight was a major player, and his Rocksteady-developed titles arguably revolutionized the superhero game genre, a legacy felt even today.
Lately, however, Batman's gaming presence has diminished. A true, standalone Batman game hasn't been released since 2017's The Enemy Within, and there's no indication of that changing soon. While comic book fans have plenty of upcoming superhero games to anticipate, anyone eager to don the cowl will need to delve into the past to discover the best Batman gaming experiences.

He appeared in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, though Rocksteady's offering isn't strictly a Batman game. The Arkhamverse, however, expanded with a new VR entry.
