GTA V Military Base Infiltration and Rhino Tank Acquisition Guide
Grand Theft Auto V, despite its age, remains incredibly popular. A key factor in its enduring appeal is the continuous addition of new content. This guide focuses on acquiring a powerful military vehicle: the Rhino tank.
Locating Lago Zancudo
The military base, known as Lago Zancudo, is situated south of North Chumash beach. The map below pinpoints its exact location. The base is heavily fortified, necessitating careful infiltration.
Infiltration Strategies
Air Infiltration: Approaching by air (helicopter or plane) triggers a two-star wanted level upon entering airspace, escalating to four stars and guided missile attacks if you proceed. A parachute landing might mitigate some of the risk.
Ground Infiltration: A fast vehicle allows you to bypass the base's perimeter by jumping over surrounding cliffs or hills. Aim to land between the outer fences undetected. A motorcycle can also be effective, or sometimes, you can even drive through the main checkpoint if the guard is momentarily distracted.
Acquiring the Rhino Tank
Once inside, locate the Rhino tank. This is more challenging as the tank is mobile. The strategy is as follows:
- Fire upon the Rhino tank to draw the driver's attention, then quickly take cover.
- Repeat this process until the driver abandons the vehicle.
- Eliminate the driver and claim the Rhino tank.
Be aware: Gaining control of the Rhino tank instantly grants you a four-star wanted level. Seek immediate refuge in a tunnel to evade aerial attacks.
