Machine Yearning: A Brain-Twisting Robot Job Only Humans Can Do
This isn't your average human job; it's a mind-bending challenge from Tiny Little Keys' debut game, Machine Yearning. Step into the robotic world and prove your human superiority by outsmarting a system designed to foil even the most cunning attempts.
Tiny Little Keys, an American studio founded by former Google Machine Learning Engineer and lifelong gamer, Daniel Ellis, is bringing this unique game to market on September 12th.
What is Machine Yearning?
Machine Yearning throws you into a job typically reserved for robots. As a human, you must conquer a CAPTCHA-style system designed to identify humans. The game promises to push your memory and processing speed to at least a 2005-level performance.
The gameplay starts with simple word-shape associations, progressively increasing in difficulty. As you advance, you'll need to remember these associations while the game introduces more words and colors, testing your cognitive limits.
The reward for mastering this challenging game? The ability to adorn your robots with a variety of hats – from archer hats and cowboy hats to straw hats. See it in action:
Will You Accept the Challenge?
Initially showcased at Ludum Dare, a renowned indie game jam, Machine Yearning earned top honors for "most fun title" and "most innovative title." For more information, visit the official website.
Machine Yearning launches September 12th on Android and is free to play. While it may not transform your brain into a supercomputer (just kidding!), it promises a unique and engaging experience.
