Netflix Games is soon to feature the narrative-driven action-adventure game, Thirsty Suitors. Currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, this unique breakup simulator offers a fresh take on the dating sim genre.
Prepare for turn-based combat against your exes, a key element of the gameplay. The game incorporates a mood system, allowing strategic exploitation of enemy weaknesses. Beyond battling, players can showcase their culinary skills by preparing South Asian-inspired meals to win back their mother's approval. Skateboarding through the town of Timber Hills, performing tricks like grinds and wall runs, adds another layer to the adventure.
Developed by Outerloop Games, Thirsty Suitors is a recipient of the 2022 Tribeca Games Awards and boasts nominations for the 2024 New York Game Awards and the 2024 GLAAD Media Award. Set in the 1990s, the game explores themes of culture, relationships, and self-discovery. Outerloop Games' Chandana “Eka” Ekanayake will participate in a Games for Change Festival panel on June 27th and 28th, discussing representation in video games.
