Hazelight Studios has once again raised the bar with their latest two-player cooperative adventure, promising an experience that surpasses their previous projects. The developers are focusing on crafting immersive worlds with stunning locations, a compelling narrative, and a plethora of tasks that deepen player engagement. In addition to the main campaign, players can delve into side stories that unfold numerous surprises, enhancing the overall experience. These additional quests not only introduce new areas to explore but also offer unique activities, encouraging players to thoroughly explore the expansive world of Split Fiction. The anticipation among fans is palpable, with many already dubbing it one of the most eagerly awaited co-op games of the year.
Three years following the debut of It Takes Two, Hazelight Studios rolled out a significant update for their cooperative adventure game in May. The developers shared a comprehensive list of modifications on Steam, highlighting a notable shift towards catering to the core Steam player base. One of the key changes is the game's independence from the EA launcher; it's now fully compatible with Steam Deck, broadening its accessibility. Players can now easily invite their Steam friends to join the adventure, and Steam Family Sharing is fully supported. While an EA account is still required to connect to EA servers, local play through Steam Remote Play no longer necessitates an EA account, making the gaming experience more seamless and enjoyable for everyone involved.
