NetherRealm and WB Games have revealed the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, launching in Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday.
This liquid-metal assassin stands out with his ability to creatively evade projectiles through molecular reshaping. T-1000 is poised to become popular among former Kabal mains, as while Kabal himself isn't playable, some of his iconic weapons and techniques appear in MK1.
The trailer cleverly pays homage to Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Fans will recognize the infamous finger-wag gesture (which interestingly remains banned by the NBA as unsportsmanlike conduct). There's also a direct reference when T-1000 inquires whether Johnny Cage has seen John Connor.
Viewers also got their first look at Madam Bo, who's joining the roster alongside T-1000. The trailer saves its most brutal moment for last - the T-1000's Fatality sees him morph into his victim's form, demonstrating the ultimate infiltration technique.
WB Games hasn't announced any additional content beyond this release. Speculation suggests this might conclude MK1's updates, potentially making way for a new game reveal - though nothing has been officially confirmed.
