Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. This exciting new addition to the Star Wars gaming universe is being crafted by the newly-formed strategy game studio, Bit Reactor, with backing from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.
While details are still sparse, we do know that Star Wars: Zero Company will be a "single-player turn-based tactics game." Fans won't have to wait long for more insights, as EA has scheduled a first look at the game during Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.
Bit Reactor, established in 2022, boasts a team of seasoned developers who have previously worked on renowned titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. This collaboration with Respawn, although known for some time, is only now providing concrete details about the project. The extent of Respawn's involvement remains somewhat ambiguous, especially given recent challenges the studio has faced, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS last year and another multiplayer FPS project just last month.
