Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts a diverse arsenal, letting players select weapons suited to their playstyle. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with special modifications or enhanced power exist, the Cavalier sniper rifle being one prime example. This unique rifle features a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, making it effective at close to medium ranges. Here's how to acquire it.
Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle in Stalker 2
The Cavalier is located near the Military Unit within the Duga base. It's found inside a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash from Duga, accessing this area should be straightforward via the secondary entrance.
Accessing the Warehouse near Duga's Military Unit
Upon entering Duga, proceed towards the Military Unit building (marked on your map). Circumvent the building to reach the rear greenhouse. Beware of two Pseudogiants patrolling the area; they're aggressive. Approach the greenhouse cautiously to avoid confrontation.
Enter the greenhouse and proceed to the warehouse. Upon entry, numerous rats will spawn, posing a health threat. Utilize the elevated green platforms at the warehouse's rear to avoid the rats. A grenade effectively eliminates the infestation.
Retrieve the Cavalier Rifle
After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. Locate the yellow-painted wooden boards. Shoot these boards with your weapon; the Cavalier sniper rifle will fall.
Retrieve the weapon and safely exit Duga. The Cavalier can be upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further enhanced through upgrades and modifications. For players preferring red-dot sights over scopes on sniper rifles, the Cavalier is an excellent choice for close to medium-range engagements.
