Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the global release.
Two Months Remain
In-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased. The global launch in June 2020 saw a mixed reception, despite positive aspects like visuals, sound, and a generous gacha system. A significant factor contributing to its closure was the lack of major content updates seen in the Japanese version, such as the Solistia region and 6-star units. This content disparity led to player attrition.
Community Reactions
Square Enix has already shuttered several mobile titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest games. This trend continues with the global version of Romancing SaGa Re:universe.
This traditional turn-based RPG, based on the classic SaGa series, offers players two months to enjoy its remaining content. If you're curious, download it from the Google Play Store.
