Marvel's animated "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" series, chronicling Peter Parker's freshman year, has received early renewals for Seasons 2 and 3. Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, confirmed this exciting news.
In an interview with The Movie Podcast, Winderbaum revealed that Season 2's scripts are complete, with half the animatics already finished, even before Season 1 premieres on January 29th. The green light for Season 3 has also been given.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the series, stating, "I’ve fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...What [lead writer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off...and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons." He anticipates meeting with Trammell soon to discuss Season 3's direction. However, release dates for Seasons 2 and 3 remain unannounced.
