Radiangames has announced Speed Demons 2, a side-scrolling highway racer reminiscent of the classic Burnout series. This sequel, boasting a similar high-speed aesthetic and gameplay, is currently in development for PC, following the original mobile game's success. Expect its release later this year.
The developers highlight a unique control scheme: "The controls are focused on movement, not steering. You'll still have gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, but you move the analog stick (or mouse) up and down to control your vehicle's direction." They assure players, "It sounds unusual, but it's immediately intuitive once you start playing."

Speed Demons 2 offers ten game modes, including the destructively fun Pursuit, Takedown, and Rampage—all reminiscent of Burnout Road Rage—where the objective is to eliminate other vehicles within a time limit. For a different challenge, try Scratchless, echoing Burnout's Burning Lap, requiring players to reach the finish line with minimal car damage.
