The trailer for The South Park Season 27, Episode 4 has arrived. While the long-running animated comedy once again targets Donald Trump, it also turns its attention to a new phenomenon: Labubus.
For those unfamiliar, Labubus are collectible plush toys designed by Hong Kong illustrator Kasing Lung and typically sold in blind boxes. They have swept the globe, with demand—evident in many parents’ bank accounts—surging over the summer due to viral trends on platforms like TikTok.
The South Park trailer below depicts the Labubu mania spiraling out of control at South Park Elementary (with fake versions already prevalent in reality). Donald Trump also makes an appearance, disembarking from Air Force One alongside his longtime show counterpart, Satan.

Here is the official synopsis:
Butters experiences the reality of tariffs when he has to buy a Labubu doll for his girlfriend’s birthday in an all-new episode on Wednesday, September 3 at 10/9c on Comedy Central and next day on Paramount+.
So far this season, South Park episodes have aired with a week-long hiatus between them. Reports suggest the show will maintain this bi-weekly release schedule for the remainder of Season 27.
The current run of episodes, streaming on Comedy Central and Paramount+, has earned some of the series’ highest ratings ever and garnered global attention for its unfiltered portrayal of President Trump. However, production times have lengthened; only three new episodes have premiered in the six weeks since Season 27 debuted.
Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone produce each episode weekly, resulting in a chaotic but highly topical workflow. This extended timeline gives them more time to refine their work, which reportedly satisfies Paramount executives.
Notably, during their San Diego Comic-Con 2025 panel, held the day after the Trump-heavy season opener aired, Parker revealed that he and Stone often remain unsure about the next episode’s plot until late in production, describing the process as “super stressful.”
Additionally, the creators recently clarified that the Season 27 trailer released in April featured footage created specifically for promotional purposes, rather than scenes from upcoming episodes. “You seriously think we went and made a bunch of shows ahead of time and we’re banking them for later?” they explained. “We just made something up and said, ‘This is what we’re doing!’ And we aren’t actually doing any of that.”
All eyes remain on South Park after its Season 27 premiere sparked such a strong reaction toward Trump that the White House issued an official response.
The F.C.C. recently approved Skydance’s $8 billion merger with Paramount, which required approval from the Trump administration Meanwhile, Parker and Stone have secured their own lucrative deal: a rumored $1.5 billion contract to produce 50 episodes of South Park over five years for Paramount.
The South Park Season 27 Episode 4 airs on Wednesday, September 3 at 10/9c on Comedy Central and the following day on Paramount+.
