According to Variety, the project is being spearheaded by Story Kitchen, the creative minds behind recent blockbuster video game adaptations such as the Sonic the Hedgehog movies. Their goal is to encapsulate the essence of childhood wonder within a thrilling, modern narrative that pays homage to the iconic toy retailer's 70-year legacy.
“Toys 'R' Us is a cultural touchstone that continues impacting the child in all of us today,” stated Story Kitchen co-founders Dmitri M. Johnson and Mike Goldberg.
